Crumb Bandit
The pitch
Crumb Bandit is a cozy 3D stealth heist game starring a hungry raccoon. Sneak into a home kitchen, a bakery, a mini market, a movie theater and a grand manor to steal donuts, wedding cakes, popcorn and golden treats, all without getting caught. Dodge flashlights, security cameras, lasers, robot vacuums and sleeping guard dogs, hide under tables and behind curtains, and slip out through the pet flap. 44 heists, four medals per job, unlockable districts and a raccoon den you can decorate.
Controls & how it runs
Goal: grab the snack and carry it out through the pet flap or the door without being seen. Stay out of the colored vision cones; hide under tables or behind curtains when someone looks your way. Big snacks are slow and only fit through the door. Desktop: arrow keys or WASD to move, Shift to tiptoe, Space to grab, drop or use things. Mobile: drag anywhere to move (inside the dashed ring you tiptoe, beyond it you run) and tap the big button to act. Earn medals for finishing unseen, grabbing the bonus snack and beating the par time.
Getting a run going takes exactly one press: Press start, up top, and the game boots inside this page — nothing downloads in the background and no form wants your details before the first jump. The cabinet is drawn for a flexible screen and listens to mouse, keyboard or touch, whichever the game prefers. It reshapes itself for tall and wide screens alike, so phone, tablet and desktop all get the full picture. Given a fullscreen button, use it — scores look better at full size, that's just science.
Crumb Bandit — quick-fire questions
Does Crumb Bandit cost anything to play?
Not a token. The cabinet is free from the first run to the five-hundredth — no wallet, no sign-up, no toll booth hiding three levels in. The adverts around the page are what keep the floor's lights on.
What sort of game is Crumb Bandit?
It stands on our Adventure row — that's the family it plays most like. The pitch above is the publisher's own rundown of what it throws at you and what it hands back.
Can I play Crumb Bandit on my phone?
Happily, yes. It runs inside the browser on phones and tablets the same way it does on a computer. It reshapes itself for tall and wide screens alike, so phone, tablet and desktop all get the full picture.
Do I need to install anything first?
Nothing whatsoever. Crumb Bandit is an HTML5 game: hit the start button and it boots on this page, and shutting the tab sweeps the cabinet clean behind you.
