Sky Islands Obby
The pitch
A cozy 3D obby across seven floating sky islands: meadow village, candy clouds, pirate cove, frost peaks, moonlit grove, star harbor and a sky castle. Run, jump and ride through 70 hand-tuned stages with moving platforms, lifts, springs, saws, pistons, crumbling pads and conveyor belts. Open eggs to hatch pets with real boosts — higher jumps, more speed, gliding, a coin magnet, extra coins or a rescue from a fall — and use them to grab bonus gems hidden off the path. Living world with a day and night cycle, rain and rainbows, birds, butterflies, waterfalls and music for every island.
Controls & how it runs
Reach the flag at the end of each stage: it saves your progress as a checkpoint. Desktop: WASD or arrow keys to run, Shift to sprint, Space to jump, drag the mouse to look around, mouse wheel to zoom, E to open an egg, Esc for the pause menu. Mobile: drag on the left side to run (push the stick to the edge to sprint), swipe on the right side to look around, the blue button to jump. Collect coins, open eggs at each island's shop and take up to three pets along — each one gives a boost. A short tutorial at the start shows everything.
Getting a run going takes exactly one press: Press start, up top, and the game boots inside this page — nothing downloads in the background and no form wants your details before the first jump. The cabinet is drawn for a flexible screen and listens to mouse, keyboard or touch, whichever the game prefers. It reshapes itself for tall and wide screens alike, so phone, tablet and desktop all get the full picture. Given a fullscreen button, use it — scores look better at full size, that's just science.
Pro tips for obby cabinets
- Look one obstacle past the one you're on. Obby stages are rhythm sections disguised as architecture — reading ahead is what turns a rage course into a dance.
- Short hops beat long leaps. Two small jumps keep you in control of the landing; one heroic bound hands your fate to the bounce physics, which is not merciful.
- Every fall teaches the stage's favourite trick. Obby designers repeat their best traps with new paint — once a trap has had you once, it should never have you again.

Nothing whatsoever. Sky Islands Obby is an HTML5 game: hit the start button and it boots on this page, and shutting the tab sweeps the cabinet clean behind you.
